This is an easy heart-melting Valentine’s Day Double Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe that will win you tons of love!! These double chocolate chip cookies are chewy and absolutely delicious. It’s any chocolate lover’s dream and a perfect Valentine’s Day treat.
Easy Valentine’s Day Double Chocolate Chip Cookies
Ingredients
- ½ cup Light Brown Sugar (100 grams)
- ¼ cup Granulated Sugar (50 grams)
- 2 eggs 1 whole egg and 1 egg yolk at room temperature.
- 1 stick Melted Butter ( ½ cup)
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 1 ½ cup All Purpose Flour (220 grams)
- ½ cup Cocoa Powder (65 grams)
- ¼ tsp Salt
- ½ tsp Baking Powder
- ½ tsp Baking Soda
- ½ cup Chocolate Covered Candy (100 grams)
- ½ cup White Chocolate Chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven at 350°
- Melt the butter in the microwave for 30 seconds.
- Separate the yolk from the egg. You would have 1 whole egg and 1 egg yolk.
- Mix butter, brown sugar & granulated sugar for approximately 3 minutes- the goal is to have a creamy consistency – depending on the power of your mixer/beater and the temperature of the butter it can take anywhere between 3-5 minutes.
- Mix in the egg, egg yolk and vanilla extract.
- Slowly mix in the dry ingredients (all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt). Tip: Sift the all-purpose flour and cocoa powder to break up any chunks the flour and powder may have.
- Hand mix in the chocolate-covered candy and white chocolate chips.
- Roll the chilled dough into balls- scoop 3 tablespoons of the dough and roll into balls or weigh the cookie dough balls to approximately 60-65 grams by using a food scale.
- Place the dough balls 2 inches apart on the cookie baking sheet. Bake the cookies for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown edge appears.
